It is an important course for those who wish to work in device design, simulation and modeling (Sentaurus part) and also for those who wish to learn circuit design (NGSPICE part).Note: There is a separate course VLSI Design Lab which runs in the spring semester and deals exclusively with NGSPICE, HDL languages and circuit design (the latter half of this course).Thanks to Sujay Desai and Ronak Mehta for writing this description! The latter half of the course deals with other CAD software like NGSPICE.Labs would involve assignments and projects with viva. Completing the process and device simulation of a short channel MOSFET with the given specifications would be a final goal for this part of the course.
